One tab. Everything on it.
Plus the coaster, the tasting log and zero proof, on the same tab.
Films, a guide when you make the drinks, and reading built for your phone.
I wrote a book. Then I looked at it and thought, yes, a book, good. Then I looked again, and a question landed: if I actually want people to drink better, is a book the best way to show them? So here we are. The Home Bartender's Cheat Code is half reading, half learning, and, on purpose, a bit of fun. I rebuilt the reading to be more entertaining than the page, and the learning to take you further than a book can on its own.
Nine cocktails. That is the whole trick, your key to most of the cocktail world.
The Daiquiri opens the sours. The Old Fashioned opens the spirit-forward shelf. You pick up balance, how sweet, sour, strong and bitter sit together, and the few moves, the shake, the stir, the build, the muddle, that cover almost everything behind a bar. And you use what is already in your kitchen. No special tools, no shopping list, because a jar with a lid is a shaker and a recipe is a guideline, not a law.
The nine essential recipes are all here. Follow the templates and you find your own balance, adding or dropping an ingredient to taste. We did exactly that, and built more than a hundred extra recipes on top of the nine for you to explore, plus two bonus chapters: zero-proof and punches.
Give it a year or two and it changes how you are in a room. You stop being the guest who waits to be handed a drink and become the one people drift toward. When a friend turns up unannounced, you make them something good from whatever is on the shelf. When someone nods at the bottles and says go on then, you already know what to do. You start planning drinks the way you plan food, because you have learned they matter just as much to a good evening. Not to impress anyone. To drink better, not more, and to be the person who makes the night feel like an occasion.
Buy the book if you like. But also give the experience in here a real shot.
The same universe you read on screen, printed and bound. Nine drinks that unlock almost any cocktail, with the films and the guide woven in. The book is where it starts, the living version is where it keeps going.
