Personal enrolment

This course is issued to one person.

Your progress, your mini course quizzes and your examination result are recorded against your name. The credential at the end carries that name and can be checked by anyone you show it to.

Adrian Michalcik

With the teachings of Adrian Michalcik, Global World Class Winner. Learn the bar from one of the best in the world.

Your name and email are kept so the credential can carry your name and be reissued if you lose it. Nothing else, and no marketing unless you ask for it. A pass publishes your name at a verification link that anyone you give it to can check; the privacy page says exactly what that means and how to have it withdrawn.

Final examination

Fifteen questions. Forty seconds each.

How it runs. One question at a time, forty seconds on each. When the forty seconds are up that question closes and counts as wrong, and you move to the next one. You cannot go back to a question you have left. The whole thing takes about ten minutes.

Why so fast. Forty seconds is enough to answer something you know and not enough to go and look it up. That is the point. This is a check that the families and the way a bar runs are in your hands, not on your screen.

To pass. Eleven of the fifteen right, and at least three of the five head bartender questions. You need both.

If today is not your day. You get three goes today. If none of them works out, three more open tomorrow, and the day after that, for as long as you need. Nothing is taken away from you and the course stays yours. Between goes you see which questions you missed and what the right answer was, so each go teaches you something.

The questions are drawn fresh every time, so no two goes are the same paper.

One thing worth saying plainly. Pass this the wrong way and you carry a credential you cannot stand behind. It comes apart on your first shift, in front of the people you wanted to impress, and it is your name on it.
